Frosty Looper - 6 hour challenge
Endless Endurance is thrilled to bring the Loopy Looper 12 hour challenge to Cooper River Park. This is a first of its kind timed event at this location and is designed to be a personal challenge that anyone of any skill level can take on. Don’t think you could run for 12 hours straight? No problem! If you are someone that wants to run one loop at the start, take a break for a bit and then go back out, that’s absolutely fine and we encourage it!
Not ready to take on 12 hours by yourself? We are offering a relay option! Get some friends and take this on as a 4 runner team!
Come join us for a day of fun and adventure on a loop that has a spectacular view of the Philadelphia skyline.
When: Saturday, December 14, 2019
Location: Cooper River Park - Jack Curtis Stadium: 1301 North Park Drive, Pennsauken, NJ 08109
Race Start: 7:00am
Race End: 7:00pm
All finishers will receive a medal and t-shirt. We will have a little something special for those that complete a marathon, 50K, 50 Miles, and/or 100K during the event. There will be awards for the top Male/Female of the event. Stay tuned for announcements regarding this!
Runners will have the hours of 7am - 7pm to run as many laps of the 3.6ish mile loop around Cooper River Park as you want. No new laps will be allowed to start after 6:30pm, and partial laps will not be counted.
Teams of 4 will run the loop in a relay style, with a maximum of 1 runner on the course at any time. Teams can still take breaks like individual runners and the finisher rules below also apply to relay teams.
Pit Area and Aid Station:
We plan to have one fully stocked aid station with all the standard ultra running goodies at the Start/Finish line and one water station out on course.
At the Start/Finish area at the stadium, there will be a drop/pit area for you to stash your stuff for the day and you can take as many breaks as long as you want during the event. We ask that you do not bring any tents larger than 10x10 and no alcohol is allowed on site!
This is August and it will likely be hot. Having a personal water supply on the course is mandatory, and plan to drink and eat more than you usually do.
To be counted as a finisher you need to be on location at 6pm and have completed at least one full loop of the course. No medals will be handed out before 6pm! We don’t care if you’re out there grinding out as many miles as possible in the 12 hours or if you ran a loop and spent the rest of the day helping out your fellow runners. You’re still a finisher and you’ll still get your medal. We just ask that if you are not running all day to do something productive like actively helping other runners.
